Headlined by the Eraserheads, the highly anticipated Electric Fun Music Festival is a convergence of the most coveted artists in the country. The concert will feature a full set from the legendary OPM band, with a lineup of other stellar acts that the hosts handpicked themselves. Apart from the special assemblage, the show aims to span generations and genres such as alt music, pop, rock, psychedelic music, indie, and more! The invitation goes to concertgoers who are game for a night of celebration and nostalgic experience.
Happening at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Parañaque City on October 18, the event will showcase performances from seasoned mainstays and emerging musicians alike. The carefully curated affair is set to make a spectacle out of Alyson, Basti Artadi, Blaster, Carousel Casualties, Dong Abay, General Luna, Imago, Moonstar88, Party Pace, Pinkmen, Sa Vie, and The Itchyworms.
Originally slated for a May 31 run, the Eraserheads: Electric Fun Music Festival was rescheduled to October in an effort to ensure smoother operations. “This gives us the opportunity to make the experience even more memorable for our amazing community. Your love and support mean the world to us, and we can never thank you enough!” the organizers’ official statement says. “All tickets will be honored on the new date. We’ll see you all soon—brighter and louder than ever.”

Following E-heads frontman Ely Buendia and the producers’ announcement last April, which mentioned lead guitarist Marcus Adoro’s withdrawal from the get-together tribute, the postponement was declared—possibly due to legal allegations of abuse against the latter. Buendia, on the other hand, open-mindedly approached the marring issue, insisting that the truth be sought as Adoro stepped back.

“We acknowledge the recent allegations that have surfaced online. As proponents of justice, we unequivocally condemn all criminal acts and stand against abuse of any form. Above all, we seek the truth,” Buendia put across. “We move forward with humility and deep respect for the truth and social responsibility.” However, as reinforcements were being made to boost the festival’s “epic” factor, fans went into a flurry. Some were awash with speculations, voicing out their thoughts and varying opinions on the controversy.
“[I] hope [that] by that time, Marcus had [already] solved his issues,” one commenter raised on Instagram. “Add pa kayo [ng] ibang artist[s], please, like Parokya [ni Edgar] or Rivermaya. Okay lang kahit mag-up [ang] ticket prices,” another supporter also suggested. Despite the unexpected delay, though, people remain positive that the band is brewing something bigger and better in store.
